Update: Public Lobbies, Custom Port Lobbies & Bans
Public lobbies, custom port lobbies, passwords and bans
All lobby features are free for everyone, never behind a subscription. No action is required on your side.
Changes
- Custom port lobbies: host anything listening on a port on your PC, not just a ServerSync instance. Go to My lobbies → Create lobby → Custom port, and choose TCP/UDP per port.
- Public lobbies and a new Lobby browser tab: find and join public lobbies and your friends' lobbies.
- Filters: game, region, host/friend, only online, hide full, and password (any / none / only protected)
- Sort by ping, players or name
- Each row shows ping, region, visibility, player count and host
- Filters: game, region, host/friend, only online, hide full, and password (any / none / only protected)
- Lobby settings (host): choose who can join (invite only / friends / public), set max players and set a password. Settings open right after you create a lobby (Next step).
- Password-protected lobbies: joiners are asked for the password.
- Ban / unban: Remove is now Ban. Banned players are listed in Lobby settings with an Unban button.
- Joining flow: after joining (from the browser or an invite) you set your local port, then land on that lobby's panel.
- Connection info per member: ping, region, and whether the connection is direct or relayed.
- Settings → Lobby relay location: pick the Steam relay region, or leave it on Automatic.
- Palworld and Minecraft: manual edits you make to the server's config files are now kept instead of being overwritten on launch.
